The Deacons will receive an offering for the Benevolent Fund today. Please prepare your hearts for this time and consider how you may contribute to the Benevolent Fund.  If you know of someone in acute financial need, please notify one of the Deacons for confidential assistance: Todd Koerner, Charlene Friesen, or Les Rensink.

Plan to attend work night THIS Monday, April 9, beginning at 4:00pm in the fellowship hall. We’ll be serving a soup supper around 5:30pm and plan to conclude about 8:00pm. Come when you can and for as long as you can. Even if you feel you can’t work, come to enjoy the fellowship.  It will be a fun evening with some new projects this year. We’ll need sewing machines, scissors, cutting boards, etc., so if you are able, please bring them with you.  Hope to see many of you on Monday!

 

CONNECTING TO THE COMMUNITY & BEYOND

 The UB Bearcats Kids Club at Freeman Academy is having a special meeting on April 7 from 10-11:30 am to introduce parents and first-time children ages 3-6 to the club. The morning begins with parents and children learning together. Then parents can sit nearby and enjoy watching eyes light up with new experiences. Postcards with information are available in the lobby. Kindly let us know the age and name of your child so we can prepare for each family. This special Kids Club begins at Music Hall on the Freeman Academy campus. The Hmong Mennonite Church of St. Paul invites you to a fundraising meal on Saturday, April 21. The meal will be served at Salem-Zion Mennonite with serving to begin at 5:30 pm. The goal is to raise funds to extend the stay of Pastor Xeng and his family. Wellspring Wholistic Care Center invites you to their Annual Meeting to be held on Monday, April 23, 7:00 pm at the Freeman Regional Health Services Community Center. You will learn more about the activities over the last year and have the chance to submit feedback and suggestions for the future of Wellspring. Wellspring is also looking for individuals to fill board member vacancies. Please prayerfully consider if you or someone else you may know would be ready and willing to become more involved in the association’s activities by serving as a board member.

Youth ages 16-22, connect with Central Plains mission partners in Quito, Ecuador, by joining a Youth Venture Team! There are a few spots left on the team traveling there for a two-week trip in June. Come and see how God is at work in the Mennonite church in Quito and among the Cofan tribe in the rainforest.
